However, this tiny factory houses one of Taiwan’s treasures — the last complete set of traditional Chinese character molds for ‘lead-type’ casting in the world. For a taste of nostalgia Ri Xing Foundry hits the spot; and courtesy of the owner, each lucky visitor receives a set of ‘hot metal’ characters spelling out their Chinese name!
