Named after the Danshuei River, which means ‘fresh water,’ Danshuei is one of the most famous tourist spots in Taipei; attracting local residents as well as international visitors. Though modest in size, the community is home to three universities. One Danshuei ‘hotspot’ everyone should visit is the Old Street, which is easily found if you follow the path along the river bank.
